Professor Green: Living in Poverty
One in four children in Britain today are growing up in poverty and experts predict that these figures are due to increase by nearly one million in the next five years.
Rapper-turned-documentary maker Professor Green – aka Stephen Manderson – has had a successful career, but remembers growing up in a home with stress over money.
Shot and produced by The Garden Productions, Fifty Fifty worked closely with both production company and Professor Green himself to make sure that the creative demands of the brief were met to the highest standard.
Colourist Kenny Gibb was required to not only balance but bring out detail in often challenging and extreme environments. Baselight was more than up to the task and gave Gibb the subtlety required. Julian Nelson then Onlined this using Avid Symphony which required a significant amount of blurring due to the sensitive nature of the subject matter and using Baselight Editions further improved and accentuated detail. Nag Kirinde mixed the audio in Fifty Fifty’s Avid Protools suite using the S6 Console, the programme required a delicate and respectful touch.
